You must be experiencing kind of“97% remaining and not charging”.

This is a special feature in the modern laptops to protect the battery from overcharging and hence increase the life of the battery.

In most of the laptops, the Charging light on the Laptop turns GREEN from RED when the battery is charged 95%. When this GREEN light has come, just shutdown and keep the laptop connected to the charger. Wait for a couple of minutes and then again switch it ON.

You can verify, now it will surely show 100% remaining

This works because it is the system software that stops charging the battery. Once it shuts down, there is no software to monitor such things and hence battery gets charged to FULL
